CHRC will be hosting its 53rd Annual Scientific Meeting on April 24-26 2008 at the Torarica Hotel, Paramaribo, Suriname. This is the first time that the CHRC will hold its research conference in this South American state and delegates are already looking forward to it being a distinctive occasion, flavoured with the warm Surinamese hospitality and unique cuisine.
As usual, the conference will feature the presentation of high quality research papers on a range of topics, reflecting the interests of Caribbean researchers as well as issues of greatest concern and priority for health officials. There will also be the ever popular special lectures, annual Awards Banquet and satellite meetings. One of the latter will be a special WHO consultation at which Caribbean health officials and researchers will have the opportunity to contribute to the shaping of the new WHO strategic direction, regarding its research agenda.
Conference and hotel registration forms and further information about the meeting will be available from January 2008 on the CHRC website.
